No surprise that summer is special to us up here in the north. Hardly any country heaps so much praise on the delights of summer as we do. The sheer number of summer songs on both sides of the Swedish- Norwegian border is overwhelming when we start to browse through songbooks, not to mention the favourites we remember. Many years ago KKV released a durable record that has proven to be just the ticket for those summer moods you love in summer (and winter!), with 16 songs praising summer flowers, sunny days and the perfect scent of summer. Last year the first track on the record was used by the NRK show "Sommeråpent" (Summer Open), and we have had an unbelievable amount of feedback that this is THE soundtrack for a holiday on the coast, in the forest or in the mountains, especially here in Norway. This year we are re-launching the record with a new cover and the hope that many more people will have the chance to enjoy this cornucopia of a record. Songs on the record include Blåklokkevikua (Bluebell week), Hovedøen (Hovedøen), Sjösalavals (Sjösala waltz), Sommernatt ved fjorden (Summer night on the fjord), Så seile vi på Mjøsa (Sailing on the Mjøsa), Änglamark (Angel fields) and Det går en vind (Blowing wind) , giving you the joy of summer and the perfect sunny mood you want. Arrangements are by all three musicians: Arild Andersen on double bass, Stian Carstensen on accordion (plus banjo on "Måkeskjærsvalsen" (Gull reef waltz)), and Frode Alnæs on guitar.
