It is a story whose charm still lives on today: Little Dorothy is blown by a tornado to the wonderful Land of Oz on the other side of the rainbow. Together with a scarecrow who would really like a brain, a tin man who would like a heart so he has feelings, and a lion who is ashamed about not being brave, she makes her way to find the Wizart of Oz. The road is of course paved with adventures, but in the end all is well: The Wizard cannot fulfill their wishes but he gives the scarecrow a certificate, the tin man receives an award for his good deeds, the lion receives a medal for this bravery and this all helps them to help themselves. Then Dorothy wakes up and realizes that she has only dreamed everything.
